Your current Membership must be active in either the Santa Barbara Ski Club or with a Club affiliated with the Far West Ski Association (verification is required)

How do I Sign up for a Trip?
How do I Sign up for a Trip?
You must be a member to see the signup options. 
Click here to sign up.

 Application is easy:
-Click on the "Online Application" button.
-Answer the Questions in full
-Confirm acceptance of the Release of Liability Agreement

You will receive an email showing your Application has been submitted.

The Trip Captain will review your application and notify you by  a second email if there is a suitable spot available or if you have been placed on the waiting list.

The application process is necessary so that the Trip Captain can review and confirm that there is a suitable accommodation to match your request.  Examples Include:
 
Rooming: (Double/Single Room, Male/Female Roommate)

Travel: (Is that Airfare/Bus seat available?)

Payment in full is due at signup.

For your and our convenience we will only accept credit card payments.
 
Failure to meet the payment requirements will result in you being moved to the bottom of the waiting list.

Roommate Policy
You may request your desired rooming partner at signup time and the Trip Captains will do their best to accommodate the request. After this time the Trip Captain requires the latitude to decide what the best combination of participants in a room might be.  We will not provide you with a list of participants and have you pick your roommate.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
A cancellation fee of $50 will be charged regardless of circumstances. You will be liable for any and all additional liquidation cost that the club incurs due to a cancellation after the deadline(s).

Airline travel (if applicable) is purchased 100 days
prior to departure. After that time you will own the ticket. Potentially it can be transferred, usually at significant cost.

Base trip costs (lodging, lifts etc) have specific dates for each trip. No refund will be available unless the trip captain can fill your spot.

Participants are encouraged to acquire travel insurance to cover unanticipated situations.

Travel Insurance

You planned and saved for this trip, scheduled vacation time, and arranged for a pet sitter, but what about the unexpected storm that caused the airport to close and your flight to be cancelled. Lost luggage? An accident? Whether you’re traveling for a two-week trip to Europe, snowboarding for week in Tahoe or rafting the Grand Canyon, you’ll want to consider getting travel insurance to protect your travel investment.

Depending on the policy, travel insurance may provide for a wide range of coverage such as: ­­­­trip costs due to cancellations or interruptions, trip delays due to lost or stolen passports, injury, sickness, natural disasters, baggage delays, lost or stolen sports equipment and personal effects, etc.

Travel insurance is optional, however, we recommend purchasing travel insurance for trips with a significant expense.
