Trip Details

Trip Leader: Mark Findley

Trip Overview

The trip includes 7 nights of lodging, all transportation to and from Snowmass (if selected), 5 days lift tickets. You may tailor your own options to get to the right trip for you.

*(We have not arranged for a Welcome Party, Farewell Party or Hot Tub fun due to social distancing concerns. Should the situation improve before trip time we can add them back in.)

The Mountains
The four mountains of Aspen/Snowmass comprise one of the best-known ski resorts in the world.
Snowmass is the largest of the four with over 3,000 acres of skiable terrain - so much variety – cruisers, steeps, glades, off-piste, terrain parks, super pipe and the longest lift-served vertical rise in the US. The new Sheer Bliss high speed quad lift provides a very convenient ride to the top of Snowmass. Most of the lifts have built-in maps to review while you ride, too.

Rising out of the heart of downtown Aspen and famous for its steeps, bumps and incredible views, Aspen Mountain and its double-black and tree runs are fun for skiers and snowboarders alike.
Known as the locals’ favorite mountain, Aspen Highlands features extreme terrain, groomed cruisers and breathtaking views. For the ultimate ski or snowboarding experience, hike up and drop into Highland Bowl.
Buttermilk also remains North America’s best family learning center. While experts frolic in the new 22 foot Olympic sized half pipe and terrain park, the rest of us can cruise on the wide, rolling trails. All of these mountains are connected by a free shuttle service.
The Towns
Take the free, 20 minute shuttle to chic Aspen to enjoy the hard to beat selection and quality of shops and restaurants. Entertainment options abound, both in Snowmass and in Aspen.  While Snowmass is smaller, it has added to its new base village with 5 new restaurants and bars, making a total of 25 in Snowmass Village.

While in Snowmass we will be staying slope side in 2-bedroom/2-bath condos at the Top of the Village. The Top of the Village is surrounded on three sides by forests and mountains and reigns as one of the very finest ski-in/ski-out properties in Snowmass. With some units you can literally ski right onto the slopes! Others are just a short walk out your door to the slopes. You’ll also be within walking distance of Snowmass Village shopping, restaurants and activities. The condos have a washer & dryer in each unit and the elevators give your tired legs a break when you come home from a full day of skiing.

Transportation Options

Travel with the club:

The Club had booked seats on two separate round trip flights from Santa Barbara to Aspen to ensure enough seats were available. We do not have enough demand to justify the second flight so everyone that booked a flight through the club will be on the same flight.

United Airlines
JAN 30th  FLT# UA5819 SBA 6:30AM - SFO  7:46AM

If you wish to arrange your own flights or perhaps drive that is no problem. You must however arrange your own ground transportation to Snowmass

Transportation while in Snowmass:

The condos have their own free on-demand shuttle to take you to the Village restaurants, bars and the market. The Snowmass Village shuttle is also free and the buses to Aspen, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk are free too.

If you purchase your lift tickets with the club package you will receive the group discount. We offer 1, 4, 5 or 6 day lift tickets that are good for any of the 4 mountains on any day. If you are over 65 years old a senior discount is available.
